AMAYA Lubrication Schedule and Specifications

Lubrication Schedules:  200,000, 2,000,000, 4,000,000, 20,000,000, 100,000,000 Revolutions of Z-Shaft (Stitches) 

The AMAYA Lubrication Schedules are based on the number of revolutions of the z-shaft (or stitches).  The number of hours is immaterial.  The number of stitches is cumulative and need not be consecutive.

Specified and Recommended Lubricants

Using the correct lubricants properly and at the times specified in the AMAYA Lubrication Schedule is critical to the operation of the AMAYA embroidery peripheral.  Failure to use the proper lubricants as specified can shorten the usable life span of internal components and can void the warranty.  Using the wrong lubricants can have adverse affects on how the machine operates.  The recommended and authorized lubricants to be used on the AMAYA are as specified below:

If substitute lubricants are used, they must be of equivalent or better grade as compared to the items above.  These lubricants can be ordered directly from the Melco Parts Department.

When applying lubrication, do not apply lubrication in excess of what is specified in the lubrication schedules.  Excess lubrication will sometimes do as much damage as insufficient lubrication, plus it creates a messy situation when grease or oil accumulates or migrates to other parts where it should not.  Use a brush to apply EMB grease to gears and shafts where indicated and apply only a thin translucent layer of grease.  Do not worry about the unexposed portion of gears and shafts as the ordinary operation of the machine will spread the grease out sufficiently.
