Sew Settings for Caps

The settings in AMAYA OS will need to be adjusted for better quality on a cap. Be sure to address the following.

Design Orientation

To be oriented appropriately for a cap, the design usually needs to be flipped in AMAYA OS. To do this, click on the orientation F twice.

For more information on changing design orientation, see the design orientation section.

Sew Speed

Sew speed for caps will need to be adjusted. Because the material is going around instead of back and forth, the machine speed will need to be set between 850 - 1200 stitches per minute. For newer embroiderers, starting at 850 s.p.m. and adjusting from there may be a good idea.

For more information on setting the sew speed, see the machine speed section.

Acti-Feed

Auto acti-feed mode was designed for materials that change thickness. It should work well for caps. Auto can be affected by the amount of flagging that some caps do.

To assist auto acti-feed,

That should help prevent thread breaks and help raise sew quality.

For more information, see the acti-feed section.
