Trimmer and Grabber failures on the AMAYA are often related, which is why they are included together in this troubleshooting procedure. Use these procedures to trouble shoot trimming and grabber failures.

Thread is not being cut cleanly. |
Inspect the moveable and fixed knife, and under thread presser. Conduct an "ink swipe test". Either adjust or replace the knives as appropriate. |

Pull-outs and long tails |
Check grabber blade/ grabber assembly adjustment and condition. |

Grabber blade is damaged. |
|
|
Grabber assembly is properly aligned and in good condition but pull-outs and long tails still occur. |
Clean thread accumulation from between the upper and lower traps. |

Inspect the velcro pads and replace as needed. |
