Parts should be returned to Melco following the procedures explained below. In general, the only parts that are to be returned to Melco are all warranty parts and any parts requested by Melco QA to be sent back for evaluation.
Warranty Covered Defective Parts:
If you need to return a defective part that is protected under an existing warranty, follow the following procedures:
All warranty part replacements must be authorized by either Melco Technical Support or a Melco authorized field service technician. This is to ensure that the correct part is being replaced and to reduce the amount of time a machine has to be down waiting for replacement parts. Melco field technicians will contact the Melco Parts Department directly. International customers should contact their International Distributor for instructions on returning parts to Melco.
Obtain a return material authorization number (RMA) to be used to return the part with. The number can be obtained directly from the Melco Parts Department.
A parts return tag will be included with all replacement part shipments. Please fill out this tag as completely as possible and return it with the returned parts. If you do not get a return tag for some reason, please contact Melco Parts Department and one will be sent to you via email or FAX.
Package the return part with the note carefully to protect the part from further damage and ship the part to Melco, Attention: RMA. Write the RMA number on the shipping label you use to send the package to Melco.
Customers will be initially invoiced for all warranty parts. When the defective part is received by Melco Quality Assurance, the Customer will receive credit for the cost of the replacement part, plus all shipping costs involved (shipping costs for returning defective parts and receiving replacement parts).
All warranty parts will be evaluated by Melco Quality Assurance upon receipt at Melco. Customers will be given credit for returned warranty parts provided that the failure analysis of the part determines that the part is not damaged due to failure to perform prescribed maintenance (as explained in the operator manual) or the part is not damaged due to operator error.
Other Parts to be Returned to Melco:
If you have a part that you believe is a design or quality issue pertaining to the AMAYA, we would like to hear from you about the issue, even if the part is not covered by an existing warranty. Please contact Melco Quality Assurance in this case.
Melco Quality Assurance will occasionally determine that parts need to be returned to Melco Attention: Quality Assurance even if it is not a warranty protected item. If this is the case, Melco Quality Assurance will obtain an RMA number from Customer Service in order for you to return the part. Return the part in the same manner as you would in case of a warranty return part.
When nonwarranty parts are received by Melco, you will receive credit for the cost of shipping. The parts will be evaluated at Melco and the failure analysis will serve as a valuable source of information that will help us to further improve the design and performance of the AMAYA machine.
