The Sewing Head

The areas in the sewing head that require lubrication are the needle bar, the needle bar driver and connecting rod, and the rotary hook.

NOTE: The CH 1 does not use a bobbin or rotary hook. Refer to your Ch 1 Operation Manual for a full lubrication schedule.

The table below is a lubrication schedule for areas of the sewing head.

 

Rotary hook	Sewing machine oil	Every 4 operating hours
Needle bar	Sewing machine oil	Every 80 operating hours
Needle bar driver	Sewing machine oil	Every 80 operating hours
Connecting rod	Upper hole sewing machine oil	Every 80 operating hours
Connecting rod	Lower hole sewing machine oil	Every 200 operating hours
