2. Lubrication
The Rotary Hook
NOTE: This procedure applies to all models except the CH 1.
- Slide out the table insert to gain access to the rotary hook area.
- Remove the bobbin case and bobbin from the hook assembly.
- Turn the embroidery peripheral ON.
- After the sewing peripheral program downloads, press the [MENU] key
until the LCD displays HEAD TIMING MENU.
- Press the [ENTER] key.
- Press the [ALT][ß] keys 2 times. This rotates the hook assembly
to the position required for lubrication. NOTE: The display will
say "NEEDLE DEPTH". However, performing just steps 5 and 6 will
not put the machine to the "needle depth" position. See the
Sewing Head Timing section of this manual if you wish to set Needle Depth.
- Place one drop of oil at the location on the hook assembly shown in
Figure 2-1. Oil this area every four hours.
- Return the machine to Headup by pressing [ALT][Ý].
