Edit Mode

You can enter the Edit Mode by clicking on the black cursor that is in the input toolbar. You can also simply right click inside of the element. You can also press the "Esc" key on the keyboard to enter Edit Mode.  Do not use the "Esc" method of entering Edit Mode if you are in the process of digitizing an element because the element will be removed.

An eight handled box will appear around the element. You can place the cursor over the handle and it will change into a sizing or scaling cursor . Left click and drag when this cursor appears to change the size of the element. To scale a design proportionally, hold down the <Shift> key, click and drag a corner handle to the desired position.

Left click inside the box to change the eight handled box into a four handled box. You can place the cursor over the handle to change the cursor into a rotating cursor . Left click and drag when this cursor appears to rotate the element.

To move the element simply place the cursor inside the box. When the move cursor appears, left click and drag to the desired position.

Editing Digitized Points

While in the Edit Mode you can move, add and delete digitized points.

To move a point place the cursor over the straight digitized point or curved digitized point until that particular cursor appears then left click and drag it to the desired position.

You can use this same method to move the entry and exit points as well as the to move the thread direction points.

When the particular cursor appears over a point, you can left click to select the point. From there you can press delete to remove that point.

When the digitized point is selected you can also right click to get a pop-up menu that gives you the properties option. There you can change the exact coordinates of that particular point.

In Edit Mode you also have the option of adding digitizing points to the outline. Move the cursor along the outline to get this cursor . Then simply left click to insert a straight point and right click to insert a curve point.
