In this Help system, you will find explanations of the many features in EDS IV, as well as tips to guide you through the program's basic functionality. It is designed to display in Microsoft's HTML Help window, which was installed on your system during the EDS IV installation. You can get to the help file through the Help Menu, click on the help toolbar button , or by pressing the 'F1" key.
Tips for using online Help:
This system is best viewed if the Windows Verdana font is installed on your system. Verdana is a free font which was designed by Microsoft to be used as an online font. It uses fontography designed to ease reading online.
You can click the Home button to display the initial screen at any time.
When viewing Help, you can maximize the Help window or resize it to suit your preference. However, the Help System was designed to display optimally in the default window size.
Click the Hide or Show navigation buttons to view or hide the TOC, Index, and Search tabs.
Click the Back button to return to the previously viewed topic.
Click Print to print topics. The Print dialog provides options for printing the current topic, everything contained in a current heading (based on the item selected at the TOC), or everything in the Help system. You can also right-click inside the topic frame and select Print from the pop-up menu.
The Options drop-down button provides additional browse and navigation controls. Click and hold the Options button to show the additional controls.
Many topics include a Related Topics button at the end of the text that displays a popup menu of related topics that you can click on and go to.
For the latest compiled HTML Help file (Help.chm), download it from Melco's Web site. To use it, simply replace the existing HELP.CHM file in your EDS IV folder with the new file.
